mCd is the arconim of millicandela (or mCd = CD/1000). 1000 millicandela equals 1 candela (CD). It is the unit of measure commonly used to describe LED brightness. Candela measures how much light is produced as measured at the light source. Please also see CDM (candela per aquare meter).
